You didn't say he'd continue to struggle. You said he'd still not have scored ANY goals. There's a difference. And y differing opinion was implied; 'what did you base your opinion on, the 3 goals he has scored for Hull?'
Why would he have truggled here? He was barely in the team. The minutes he did get, he performed well.
He really didn't though mate. That first half at West Ham was the worst performance of any Everton striker that I can ever remember.

But we need goals - simple as that. He scored one in how long? Against lower league opposition.

We need a player who can score two against Chelsea without breaking sweat.

The difference is Jelavic now has someone upfront to feed off. With us he was isolated on his own. He's not a Drogba who can play the lone role. He's not top top class, but he's a far better player than what he showed (or wasn't allowed to show) here. 4-5-1 is a horrible system for most forwards.

He either didnt fit our system or simply didnt wish to play for the Club anymore, we saw he was a good player in his first 6months, he will score goals for Ull, he didnt for us, we got good money.

The only sadness is that we didnt re-invest the money in a replacement.

We got decent money for a player who has lost his confidence and probably wasn't going to score goals for us. He desperately needed a change of scenery. Hull intern got a talented player. It was a transfer that worked for both of us.

Its a shame because if he was 75% of the player that we had in his 1st season last year we'd have gotten 4th.
