Both are impact subs at best....

Neither will ever be great forwards for Everton.

Only my opinion like, wich counts for [Poor language removed] all.!!

Jame Vaughan, the lad look like a class act almost every time he comes on for us.

He said he was lucky to have score his recent goal, but I don't see it that way, a striker must always move to the position where he think the ball would come.

You could say natural instinct, but I think he also has the pace and ability to make it, I think he could learn alot from Saha as well.

Anichebe can make the grade, because he's already matured as a player and is better than Vaughan at this moment in time, he's stronger, he can hold the ball up, he can finish and he can play wide. Vaughan is just too eratic in my opinion - he clearly has the raw talent but needs to improve a lot in my opinion.

That is based on imagining they are both fully fit....
Imagine both are fully fit and try to forget about their respective injury problems (Vaughan's knee's/ Anichebe's back etc... I mention these two specifically as they've kept them out a fair few times) Who would you prefer in your starting xi? Who can make the grade, ignoring possible future set backs?

This is based on being realistic...

Vaughan will probably be injured again in a couple of months or so due to his "million mile an hour chase down every lost cause" approach to the game. So I would have Anichebe again, he's got the physique - so naturally less 'prone' to injury like Vaughan. He's more composed on the ball, and doesnt run around like a looney getting himself injured. You will get a more immediate value for your wages from Victor in my opinion. If you shipped Anichebe out, I think we'd be scouring the market looking for a striker to play ahead of Vaughan while he warms the bench/injury table.

Interesting point KJ.

But I would rather have a fully fit Vaughan, but lets face it, both fully fit and both fully motivated, they would be a handful for any defence.

anichebe would benefit from 6 months at sheff wed under irvine
get some playing time under his belt and start fresh next season
