James Vaughan: A record?

I honestly don't think Baines will go anywhere unless Moyes tells him he's off. He is an extremely modest person, he's said many times that he's always worried he's going to be found out and not good enough. He's at his favourite club and he's still not very old. I think he will just keep going until he gets into the team and I really hope Moyes shows a bit of faith and puts him in it.

I think Vaughany is too good to go on loan to anything other than a prem side, agree with neb, that would help his development. I would hate him to go to the Championship and be a Michael Chopra tho, he's so much more than that.

Vaughan needs a song. If hes putting everything into it with a silent stadium, im sure it would boost his morale if his name was being sung...

...Any takers?

He's got one.

na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na....James Vaughan (To the tune of Hey Jude, Beatles)

Been sang for years. You have to go to an away game to here it!!

He hasn't earned a song yet to be honest.

When he gets one it'll probably be this: "There's only one James Vaughan".

That's about as good as he'll get.

I had an idea for this a while back. I went to the Ashes years ago when Shane Warne was on top of the world. The aussie fans did this chant where one section of the crowd would shout Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey (with the same intonation as oneeeee-niiiiiiiiil, or whatever) in a drawn out, ghostly howl kind of voice. Then as the sound went around the stands, other sections would pick it up and 'send it back'. Like an animal recognition sorta thing. Didn't take many people at all to make it work either, but that was probably partly cos it was a cricket match. I thought it was ace.

mmm...to the tune of "Go West" When James Vaughan FINALLY starts a game...

...James Vaughan - He's in the team atlast
James Vaughan - He is [Poor language removed] fast
James Vaughan - Is on our Bankroll.
James Vaughan - Will score a goal.

Personally, don't think James Vaughan is too good for a Championship side. He needs playing time, asap in my eyes. Don't think it really matters, if it's lower placed PL team or a decent Championship one. Actually, would prefer him to be loaned out to Preston North End, as I think Alan Irvine would be able to get the best out of him. At least, he'll knows what he's getting in Vaughan.

I feel your pain.

I feel your shame.

But you're not to blame.

Vaughan's game is all about powerful running, putting himself about and chasing lost causes. He's not at the fitness level to do that, he's having to hold himself back like he did for England under 21s.

He can only do it in short bursts which is why he's best off coming on for the last 20/30 minutes of games. He's already showed he can have an impact from games if given time. Lets hope Moyes gives him more than three minutes a game.

I agree with that, if he starts games he can't chase every lost ball & put the defence under pressure every time they get the ball for 90 minutes but you wont find many players in world football who could do that, especially at the intensity that Vaughan does. Give him 20 minutes or half an hour & he'll do it pretty much none stop though & it can make all the difference, like he did against West Brom. It's wrong to expect him to win a game in a couple of minutes though

He's got one.

Yeah, we need a quicker 1, seems a bit too much like real singing & that has no place in the stands of a football match
