McLean, O'Shea, O'Neill refused to wear poppies today

What an absolute disgrace.

He's spouted some bull**** about how 'he didn't want to disrespect the 14 Irish people killed by British troops in Bloody Sunday'.... pity he's disrespecting the THOUSANDS of troops who died during WW2 to stop the little toerag from speaking German!

How many innocent British people have Irish terrorists killed over the years? Yet you don't see British people discriminating against Irish, banning St Patricks Day or anything.

I'm not massively pro-army or anything, but wearing a poppy to pay tribute to the thousands who have died over decades in protecting our rights to live in a free world is hardly asking for much.

What is it with these attention seeking antics of modern footballers? Their egos know no bounds. First refusing to shake hands, then refusing to wear anti-racism t-shirts, and no refusing to wear poppies.

It was bad enough when Celtic fans unfurled that 'No blood-stained poppies' gigantic banner vs Barca the other night. Scottish FA/UEFA hasn't said a thing about that.

McLean is an attention-seeking smart-arse little bigot. Totally embarrassing.

I would be interested in a debate over whether Hitler would have invaded Ireland if he'd won, I can't really decide. On the one hand assuming Ulster would became a bastion of the british government in exile (as well it might) he wouldn;t have much choice, but on the other hand he never wanted to fight the west in the first place, his racist ideology meant that his real target was russia. He ignored Sweden and no doubt would have ignored the UK if he could have. You could see him not wanting to press the invasion once the UK government surrendered.

Don't think it's that controversial a subject, surely?

He's the one not wearing a poppy. He's already started getting loads of flack.

It'll be all over the papers and SSN tomorrow.
