So, weve seen the yakubu/anichebe partnership. Weve got vaughan/johnson and cahill back soon, so where will mcfadden fit in? i think we should play him as a regular imo...

look what he has done for us, scored terific goals against fulham, middlesbrough and charlton, and then country against france, ukraine etc...

Mcfadden when he is enjoying his football and has the chance to try out new stuff will be on fire. We can see from some games he will try to chip the keeper when hes on his line! or have an ambitious long shot. He is and will eb a great asset to the club.

Anyway the reason i made this thread was to show you this video...

Check out his goal at 1.11 its great!!

I thought he did quite well when he came on yesterday as well. I suspect the two big lads were picked yesterday on the basis of them dominating midfield and us playing more direct. Our midfield did ok though so we probably could have used McFadden in there.

Your an optimist hey Namdrater?

I would love to see Johnson set the premier league alight. But I have this sneaking suspicion he is going down the Beattie road and before long be back down south. I hope I'm proven wrong I really do.

Vaughan is certainly someone I am looking towards, his ability to win headers is great and will definitely add something to the side.

Cahill will get us goals from midfield but like McFadden I think he is a luxury player and when we have no dominant tackler in midfield we can only afford to play so many luxury players.

Did anyone see the Cahill interview yesterday, hmm, didn't sound happy that he wasn't picked.

You may be right about Johnson but if the BT saga is anything to go by, it will take the club 3 seasons to realise that maybe his signing is not working out.

The club does seem to have a poor record when it comes to signing goal scorers or is it our tactics which is the problem that the strikers are under achieving.

I am very! :D
Vaughan and Johnson just worked brilliantly, because Vaughan somehow just manages to win as many balls as Anichebe can and he just does so much right. And if Johnsons got Cahill in the midfield, he scores.

I just think of us playing our last game of the season against Chelsea, Cahill didnt even play that, but we were just as good if not better than Chelsea that game.
