anything economy related, which has a negative effect , will be blamed on Bexit from now on. and anything that has a positive effect on the economy will be hidden or missed out in many a remainer's argument.

apart from a very brief one-time swoon in 1985 (the flash crash), the Pound has only once been this low against the Dollar since flexible exchange rates began in 1971. what might have happened, to cause this?

we will no doubt all keep seeing what we believe, but reality tends to rear its ugly head eventually

Why it surprises anyone that Brexit will cause economic instability is still an odd phenomenon. It's like Remainers just have to post a 2016 graph of GBP v USD as though it's the only argument that matters. Brexit was always a 2 steps backwards, 3 steps forward situation that will take probably 20 years to fully realise itself.

If you voted for Remain or Leave on the basis of the next 3-5 years, you're barking up the wrong tree. It was always about Britain's long term future either as an independent nation (like most countries on Earth), or as part of the ongoing experiment of the integration of European countries in to a single political entity. The Brexit process will bring pain and opportunity, just as continued membership of the EU would in different ways.

The Pound was lower in autumn 2008, autumn 2009 and summer 2011 than it is now
