I think he's great just lacking in confidence. Needs a shot in the arm, a little boost to his ego, build up his self esteem. God help him if he comes on here, we'll find him on his doorstep drinking bleach and muttering, "John Ebbrell, John Ebbrell" while maniacally laughing through his tears.

I just think people have realised he isnt the 'Next big thing'
I cant remember the last time he had a good game, he was terrible for England U21's and the pre season games hes played. I cant see him improving either. Will have to wait and see if Moyes agrees

Amazing isn't it? I remember him pacing down the wing at city to set up a class goal and going on a run and scoring a class goal against Utd. People were loving him back then.


I think hes receiving an over negative response, hes what ...19..20? Coming back from a few injuries, and people are writing him off. Saying that they can't see him improve.....really? Of course he will improve, granted his progress may not be as fast as other under 21's such as Jack Wilshire but he will.

Though I do agree he needs game time, though Felli is still top choice for defensive-mid, which is where I see rodwell being.That would be my only worry.

Possibly a case of being over-hyped at such a young age, although frequent injuries certainly haven't helped. Just hope that the same doesn't happen to Barkley.
