Jack Rodwell: England U21s

Anyone watch it?
When Jack came on England were getting outplayed completely so he didn't get to do much, it was a bit like the Champions League Final, we were getting outpassed. But when we managed to get foward Jack looked good and had a decent attempt from outside the box to try and get the winner.
He should have started over that Mancienne bloke.

Jack was just window dressing for the first 20-25 minutes he was on. He had one good long pass down the line to Sturridge. He wasn't quick in closing down his man at one point and let him take a shot on goal.

Later after the goal, he finally got the ball at his feet and deftly dribbled around two defenders before passing it off. Then a minute later he got the ball with a good amount of space near the top of the box, turned and tried to curl a shot into the top corner. It ended up about a meter above the bar. Just an okay attempt.

All in all, not much to say. He didn't seem to be running very hard but most of the time the Spaniards had the ball and all Rodders could do was reposition himself after every pass. I still would have liked to see a little more fire.

Hopefully Jack gets the start in the next one.
