Just watched this movie last night, so okay Mr Cruise does not match upto the book Reacher but does very well. The film was IMO very good. Extremely violent as you might expect if you have read Child's books but in places very funny! The car chases are damned good, almost straight out of "Bullit"

Go and see if you get the chance, for me 4 out of 5.

I thought it was very decent too, Tom Cruise gets more and more bland in every film I see him in, zero screen prescence.

my wife has read most of the books, I am reading my 1st Jack Reacher book, both watched the film the other week. Film was ok, but both agree Tom Cruise is the wrong person to play him! Needed to be someone like Liam Neeson

I haven't read any of the books but really enjoyed the film. my dad has read the books and says tom cruise is completely wrong for the part if you have read the books.

I have still not watched the film... Tom Cruise just isn't the right fit in my mind to play Reacher.

Watched the movie, never read the books. Not a big fan of Cruise and it's pretty obvious the sound stages are set up with elevated walkways to make the shortarse look taller than he actually is.

Just like to say that I also like pineapple on my pizza with a bit of chicken tikka and sweet chilli sauce to dip it in.
Next you will be saying that you don't like apple sauce with pork or cranberry with turkey!! And heaven help anyone who does not like mint sauce on their roast lamb!

As a film no doubt it is well done ( haven't seen it yet )

But in the willing suspense of disbelief / casting the right guy in the right part dept...not a $h1tshow, not even close, in fact so far away it's a wonder the author hasn't sued them for mis representation or something...unless he just took the money and run ( probable )

In actual fact Lee Child was interveiwed and defended the choice of Tom Cruise, pointing out there no 6foot 5 inch, 250LB film stars out there, most are titches like Tom.

Can't watch any Tom Cruise film. He can only play Tom Cruise and it takes me out of the film completely.
