The media make it all so much worse. In this information age a story like that that poor girl from Bristol isn't just in your morning paper, it's on your TV, your radio and your phone when you go for a dump. We are very fortunate in a lot of ways compared to folk of yesteryear.
 
The only way things will change is when we have politicians who are in it for their beliefs not their pockets. I'm not entirely certain that's ever been the case?

A polarisation of British politics would be a good thing IMO. UKIP threatening the status quo would be great IMO.

They try to sensationalise everything, this year we kept getting 'the worst snow ever' story, we got about 1/4"........
