Player Valuation: £70m
If it's rumoured Yakub and Yobo are not travelling to the USA, maybe they could be part of the deal that brings N'Zogbia to Everton. I'll go for that

They took Heskey and they took Bramble !!! These are exactly the type of players that Wigan would take in my opinion. Not so unthinkable me thinks

I still don't understand why people are treating a potential N'Zogbia deal as something that might be happening behind the scenes. We did not make a bid. This has been rubbished.

And when Villa need a winger and have a lot of cash to spend, to think we could compete with them is optimistic at best.

Desperate times ! Blind faith ! Clinging to the hope of something positive !

Pick any of the above mate.

If you were in Wigan's shoes you'd want to start a bidding war to get as much of Villa's money as possible. You wouldn't want to accept a swap deal over cold hard cash unless it was a player that you'd have difficulty getting hold of otherwise. There are no buyers for Yobo or Yak. It doesn't add up. Once they have the cheque in their hands maybe they'd be interested in Vic?

At least, get them off the wage bill!!!!

Yakubu for me is worth his wage and whatever derisory fee we'll end up getting for him. 15-20 goal a season strikers will cost you upwards of £20 million these days, and I just don't think we're going to get one unless we get a gargantuan bid for Rodwell. And even then I'd argue a winger should be the priority.

So what I'm saying is, whilst Yakubu is unlikely to ever get back to the heights of his 21 goal haul in his maiden season, he's still a lot better than what £4 million or so would get you elsewhere.

Can't take you seriously after that last line!

The only reason why Zog will go to Everton is because he doesn't want to go to Villa. Think about it, we are a good side which play attractive football. Also, he doesn't want to leave the Region for Birmingham. Lastly, Villa are in dire shape, Young and Downing were their two best players from a side on the down slide and both are gone. Plus their new manager plays hoof-ball from behind a parked armada of Buses in the Defensive third. Have FAITH!
*if he wanted to go to Villa, he'd be gone by now
