...I was in the Harcourt Hotel, Dublin on a trip with pals. Never forget having a bet with a local lad that Arsenal would do it and ended up winning 30 Irish punts. One of my red mates cleared a space on the bar with 5 minutes to go and said 'I'm getting up there as soon as the final whistle goes'. Couple of minutes later he trailed up to bed with the rest of the reds whilst we celebrated.

...mate of mine is a big Evertonian and was working as a bookie at the Dogs. He could only see the bottom bit of the telly in the corporate lounge but noticed Thomas rolling over in the last minute. He instantly knew what had happened. A real where were you when it happened occasion.

But you can hear the oxygen being sucked out of anfield by those kopites in the kop as the ball hits the net. Its almost whistle like....

Missed it. I was on the ale all day and couldn't stand the thought of watching them lifting the trophy so went to bed. Wasn't until the missus came up and told me that Arsenal had won that I realised that I'd missed a night not to forget. Gutted. Didn't miss Crystalbul, though, and stayed up to 4.00 am celebrating with a lovely few glasses of whiskey and a load of ale.

That was exactly what I wanted. I wanted to see Liverpool play someone on the last game of the season with them 1 and 2 with Liverpool losing the league at home. Awesome to know it's already happened.
