It's crap being English

Yeah sure, I'd rather be English than Scottish, Irish or Welsh when it comes to sport, but we ought to be better than that anyway.

We no longer have any heritage or national identity, our sports teams continuously fail to deliver at the crunch and it's twice as expensive as anywhere else.

What do we have - apart from the Premier League (which I'd argue is by far our most popular export, but even that's starting to turn crap now)
Yeah the Parisians have a\ great reputation......

Nonsense thread.

England/GB depending on the sport has a great pedigree across loads of sports.

It’s our lack of success in international football that gives the impression that we’re not great because football is our number one sport.

Rugby Union, F1, Boxing, Olympics, Cricket, Golf - all major events that English/British teams consistently deliver titles on the international stage.

Reading this just as one of the greatest drivers F1 has ever seen starts the race that could confirm yet another world title.

Boxing, F1 and Cricket are all sports that have seen genuinely brilliant achievements from English sportspeople and teams in the very recent past. Almost as impressive as the sense of furious entitlement that comes pouring out when a team or individual just falls short.
