It has to be a form of psychology, has to be.

How come you got banned, Mick?

And you perk up like 'flies on whatever' when your mate gives you attention because you are an attention seeker, it's that simple. Most people would just think 'can't be arsed with him'.

What's the best way to describe what I'm tryin to say? OK, lets look at it like this, I suppose in a way it's a form of psychology.

You have a friend who is always wanting to chat with you, go out with you and be around you. When you are at a party and he's always around you, talking to you and making jokes, having a good time and a laugh but thinks you are great. What's the impression we give? We become a bit stand off-ish I think. Now, lets say we have a friend but he never answers his phone, hardly responds to texts and when you are out together he bothers more with your other friends than he does with you. Now, when he calls YOU or texts YOU first or give you some sort of attention, why do we perk up like flies on s**t and act like he's the most inportant person around? Is this a form of psychology tactic?
We have little interest in the people that want to know us but when the person who usually blanks us gives us 5 minutes of his attention, we grab it with both hands.

I want to be more like that guy because for me it seems a proven way to have people around you and you begin to influence them but its knowing how to master this technique. Is there a name for it? I'm convinced we are all aware of it or have some experience of it no matter what role we play in the situation.

I think Facebook provides a good example. You have a friend who posts pictures or statuses and you regularly comment, but a lot of the time he or she never comments back and when they do and you get that notification, you are all over that, once again like a fly. It's definitely a formidable way of psychology and it works for them whether they realise what they are doing, or they are unaware and are made that way.

Fancy a bum?
