Is this David Moyes' last season?

I honestly do think he is primed for the UTD job, not because I secretly think with millions in the bank he will do well, I just think he will appreciate the size of the job ahea working under different limitations for the Glazers

leave off with no CL experience and having never won anything they wont take the risk. tactically he still has a lot to learn aswell

moyes brand of football wouldnt work at united he would have to change his whole philosophy, which I dont think he is capable of doing.
Nicking a goal and the defending with 10men isnt the united way and never has been.
Moyes need success at 1 or 2 teams probably abroad before he can even be considered

besides when ferguson retires jose moriniho will probably take over the reigns, I think that was the reason he turned down city

Which youth players are you suggesting form part of our best 11?
Barkley v Fellaini
Gueye v Pienaar
Duffy v Jags, Heittinga, Distin
You ask for our best 11 then slate him for not playing young players that are not as good. Who did you have in mind?

Barkley v Fellaini is what we call a straw man argument.

Last year we started games with mcfadden, neville, coleman, heitinga and anichebe in midfield and barkley on the bench. Coleman has never started at RB even when we were crying out for an outlet there. Vellios was on much better form than either Cahill or Saha last autumn and got all of two starts. Beckford and Saha were both used as lone strikers when neither could play that role and cahill was coming back from an injury a passenger, playing the two of them together and dropping timmy should have been tried. Osman has been habitualy misused.

It's all very well nor changing a winning side like the one on monday (and his line us was spot on then) but he also didn't change the side that lost game afetr game at the beginning of last year. He has frequently got his line up wrong and thats why I think there's room for improvement.

And there is a middle area between never playing your kids at all even when there's 40 minutes to go and you're 4-0 up and having them start a game against Man U.

plus the glazers won be there for much longer, once they maximise the value of the club they will sell it off, probably when ferguson retires.

I'm with you I think the idea of united appointing a manager who has NEVER won a trophy nor any champions league experience is staggering , I don't even think he'd make a back up last never mind the shortlist. The media would probably tout him as they did for the Spurs and Chelsea jobs but as with them he'd be nowhere near the shortlist.

I'm not having a dig at moyes but the jobs he'd be considered for are those around and below us, for me he's nowhere near the BIG jobs and unless he wins a trophy or two or makes the champions lge I just don't see it. That's why I think he'll end up going abroad as I don't think it'd effect his reputation here if he failed and if he was successful it'd only help him

or the scottish national job aswell, they have a decent under 21 side coming through and would help him in the areas he needs improving

Again though would that help him , really ? Look at the shortlist last time for that nobody wanted it and they probably pay a 1/3 of what he's on now. I think (as someone has said earlier) january whet appetite for the job because prior to that he'd spoken to other managers about looking abroad.
