The Premier League was at it's peak in the 90s, there were so many more exciting games than you get now. Still though, it's the only league i give a sh*t about.

over hyped without a doubt, don't watch champions league at all ,believe the set up for the european competitions is the very reason we now have such poor competition in our domestic football.

Please expand, this may be an interesting point.

All the major leagues are dominated by at most 4 teams. Now the only way this changes is with a mega rich owner taking over and investing stupid money.

The PL is actually more competitive than Spain and similar to Germnay and Italy.

Spot on. The move to the league format and multiple teams from the same country play in it basically cemented a power hierarchy.

The way that the champions league money filters to the top 4 teams in the top leagues every year, because even the runners up and the third place get in means it's really hard for anyone out of that club to compete.

And on the flipside it also meant the later stages of the european competitions are dominated by the top leagues, which mean that the lesser leagues (scotland, netherlands, eastern europe etc) are increasingly unable to compete in europe as there's now four times the spanish and german teams to compete with and each are stronger due to to continual champions league money even in the seasons they didn't win it. So those leagues are weakened by lack of money, falling standards, dropping attendances and inability to hold onto players so there's less competitive in comparison.

There are honestly competitive leagues like romania where any team can just about win it. But the quality is ridiculously low and corruption incredibly high which isn't the case in this country.

It's difficult to think of an actual league which is both high quality and competitive. Bundesliga's probably your best bet, but even then bayern win it every other year, it's just that other contenders do at least both come and go unlike in this country.

it really isnt. Madrid lost more games than United last season.

It's the way Sky just throw it at you like it's a movie and they make out all games are going to be blockbusters. The way they force 'Super Sunday' at you as well, no I'll decide if it was super.

Also, I just really love German football.
