Is the club challenging Gana's red card?

We wouldn't win the appeal. You'd have to prove that the rules were implemented incorrectly and because it's borderline, they'd side with the ref. Equally they wouldn't be imposing a 3 game ban now if the ref had only booked him.

We wouldn't win any appeal because it is subjective, so they would side with the ref.

However, if we did appeal, we should provide a doctors appraisal of Keane's cheek to say that it is unaffected by the tickle that Gana gave it.

Not saying that I agree with the law, but by the letter of the law it seemed like a red to me. Keane's head seemed to get knocked back so I can't see us successfully arguing that the force was "negligible".

I love Gana but it was a stupid and deeply unprofessional thing to do.
