Is society becoming polarized?

This has got much worse since the Torys got in with the divide and rule approach they are using .

Is correct. They're doing well at it too, distinguishing and then dividing public and private sector, turning them against each other. You see when the working class are united it's a threat to the government as they can overthrow it. Being divided has them being angry at each other, instead of who they should be angry at: successive governments and a whole host of bankers.

I think tolerance of other's that are different is probably as high as it has ever been. Integration of different cultures within our society has led to a greater understanding and acceptance. Legislation has been changed to include gay marriage whereas only a generation ago sodomy was illegal. Use of racist language and discrimination is regarded as unacceptable.
The country is broke, people are nervous and frustrated about what the future holds, people get desperate when their livelihood is at stake.

Well, it certainly didn't stop public schooling having a right old go.
And further more, I was under the impression womens tradesmans was fair game.

I always knew you were a closet Tory.

I wonder where the divide and conquer attitude leads, tory previous indicates someone is on for being demonised.
