If i was paying the bill I wouldn't have sports n movies cos it's a rip, but i ain't paying so glad i got it all :)

I don't think it is. My Dad recently canceled sky in which we had no hd channels, only ss1, kids and no movies and we moved to Virgin and now we have every sports channel, hd, all movies, better on demand servies, two boxes, better internet connection for a few quid more a month.

I only have it for the sports channels and the broadband to be fair

I never watch the music or movie channels

I have ESPN too, which is pretty good and ESPN America (which has goen downhill to be honest sinc eit lost the NHL)

Sky Sports is brillaint though, much as I hate the whole monopoly side of it. They have the best production values and the best presentation.

Truly is a magnificent TV channel, even if it got that way by slowly murdering everyone else

Anyone know if you can get these BT channels on SKY in regards to next season?

I'm probably going to be moving out in to a student house in September so I'll be wanting broadband and sports channels, don't need a phone line and not really bothered about anything else. Just done a quick look around on Virgin Media and it seems that would be about £60 a month alone. Seems a bit steep, like.

just bought a skybox for £60 paid uk-sat £30 subscription for the year

and i get everything, including pay per view etc......

you're all getting screwed i'm afraid

Funds the premier league, with its favourites so that it stagnates with the same old teams near the top and ruins one of the best leagues in the world. Causes an influx of overseas players, which represses our pool of talent from getting experience at the top, and so ensures we'll never do well nationally.

If you want your hard earned to fund this, then carry on. I never have and never will. I watch far less sport these days, since it costs so much. The highlights on the beeb are a better program than a full match on the telly, as most of the time Everton aren't featured on sky.

I miss the test matches most.

I don't think it is these days, pay 75 a month, getting the sports package taken out as soon as the prem is finished.

I'd normally keep the sports subscription for the boxing, but box nation has taken the marquee fights that i'd like to see.
