Is 'Sir' Phillip Green connected with Everton?

The whole point of having the proxy would be to stop HMRC charging Green additional taxes.

Earl wouldn't as he's not a UK resident for more than 40 days a year.

It could be a "gentleman's agreement" between them over who is the share holder on the accounts.

So providing proof could be nigh on impossible. But the fact Green has so much influence says it all.

You are as paranoic as Dave. On Everton's shares how much tax do you think a billionaire like Green is going to save?????? To far fetched by half.

Capital gains tax.

Go look it up.

Also go look up "consolidated accounts" of two affiliated companies and how corporation tax applies to them lad.

I am happy for people to correct me but I beleive Phillp Green is a Resident in Monaco for Tax purposes due to the supstantial money he earns (a few years ago the retail empire he owns paid him and his wife a dividend totalling approx £1.2billion). Provided he does it correctly his tax resident will also cover any potential capital gains tax. Therefore he wouldnt pay any.

I do think Green has some influence, he is an adviser, Kenwright has basically admited that.

My understanding is that Earls shares are held in an offshore investment vehicle (and it's difficult to obtain accounts), this could easily have been lent money by Green but Earl as the director and shareholder of said offshore vehicle, would be deemed as owning shares.

My theory is that the company that loans money every year to Everton is Investec, they are a specialist investment company, Green could always channel his money through this company to invest in Everton?

The only people who know the truth are running the Club?

Robert Earl = Green's proxy in the boardroom. The loans run up by the club from year to year paid off with the next raft of tv money = Green stands behind them. He's central to this club's future and he wont offload until the price suits him.

Kenwrong got the club into this mess.

Do you actually have any evidence/proof of this? Or is it just what the voices in your head tell you?

CGT on what. Would only apply if an asset was sold and realised an increase in value then exemptions would also apply. So how is CGT going to apply with regard to his alleged link with EFC. As for CT that is a busines tax and is hardly going to be anything to do with EFC and his alleged involvement. His residency position is to do with personal tax and that is the only point whether it involves IT, CGT or Dividend tax. My friend you have your wires crossed. All what you allege has little to do with EFC, if in fact he owned the shares held by Earl this is only small beer and do you not think that in respect of a man like Green he has some firm like Ernst Whinney acting for him who would make sure nothing untoward would happen. Come on down the price may not be right but reality awaits.

For a man like Green, EFC is nothing more than peanuts.

I'm sure thats what the Arcadia Group was when founded by 18-year-old Lithuanian immigrant Montague Burton in Chesterfield in 1903 under the name of The Cross-Tailoring Company

And was still peanuts when Green took it on

Are you suggesting that if Green was involved with EFC and he pulled his finger out, he could turn the club round like the Cross Tailoring Company. OH boy Matt.

Green spends more than 40 days in the UK per calender year. He is not a Monaco resident. His wife on the other hand......

I dont fancy him taking out a huge £1billion loan on Everton... then paying his wife a dividend from it.

So no. Although he does have many contacts, he's a Spurs supporter. Not an Everton.
