IS IT REALLY THAT BAD?

Evertonized

Player Valuation: £1m
Seriously, I seem to post these threads every few months - because the ammount of negativity on this forum is beyond a joke sometimes.

Now I understand that we all want more money for transfer funds or for Everton to be taken over, but at the moment that isn't happening - and even if it did, we could easily end up like Birmingham, Blackburn (atm), Notts County - the list goes on.

McFadden isn't A QUALITY SIGNING, but he will be a good backup, plus he's proven that he wants to play for Everton instead of Wolves...Celtic etc - I doubt we beat them on wages!!!

To the league, and yes we are 15th!! But can I just draw everyone's attention to the fact we've played against Chelsea, Red ****e & City in the past 3 games. We've not atcually lost to anyone 'crap' except for QPR.

For the record, I would prefer to be supporting Everton like this - than supporting Everton with a foreign owner, I prefer to have values at a club, to be at a stadium with history (even if it is ****ing falling down!). I also wouldn't support a team with a player on 250k a week, no-one is that bloody good (except maybe Messi??)

So, although I do agree things aren't FANTASTIC, they could be a lot lot lot lot worse.

Everyone is entitled to their oppinion and i think the criticism McFadden is getting is not going to do the player's confidence much good. Do the same people who give McFadden bad vibes have the same feeling for the manager who purchaesd this player?

Cue: Fulham (a), Chelsea (H), Man U (h), Newc (a)..... then things are pretty grim tbh.

Also what makes you think we can get british buyers? The chances are fairly slim I think. If and when we do sell, it's more than likely to be foreign ownership. I think most people's negativity comes from a catalogue of incidents over the last 6 months or so (ok we could say last 1,2,3 5 years).

No money, selling players on the last day of transfer window with no real time to assess for any replacements, very poor performances on the pitch, solid performers inexplicably under performing (JAGS, Cahill, Baines etc etc) bewildering tactics, ridiculous substitutions, oh and the icing on the cake we re-sign McFadden.

Maybe we just need a decent result to get the confidence going again and maybe the off the field issues will die down, but at this present time we look devoid of any quality on the pitch and it's very concerning. The only glimmer of light is if Moyes actually gives the likes of Barkley, Velios, and Drenthe a decent run.

Last season, we got 4 points off of Chelski, 4 points off of the ****e and 6 points off of Sheik City. This season, we may be lucky to get 4 points off of those three combined, considering how badly we are playing. Considering how we drop points to the "lower" teams of the league on a routine basis, making the deficit up will be very difficult.

However, will never stop my undying support! COYB

I'm willing to wait till after December, before we see just how bad it is. McFadden aside, its the Moyes 'favourites' issue that is really getting to me, he showed us he can drop Neville, but dont make him our impact player from the bench ffs!

Cahill or Osman, pick one, dont squeeze them both in at the expense of the more talented Drenthe, or even give Bily 20 mins at the end in the position Hiddink played him when he reccommended him.

Unless Jonny is also in horrendous form, then an out of form Jagielka is not a better option.

All that being said, we have winnabl games in december, its a chance for the players to restore out optimism and confidence, aswell as their own.

Agree to a point.

Just reading through the comments, as do most days, in the hope of writing something but end up feeling so deflalted that I just leave.

Using the team and McFadden as case in point. We should be supporting these players (as hard as it may be) as the negativity just seems to seep through.

Yes. We've got no money. We know that.

BUT: I for one wouldn't mind so much if this party line of: "we at Everton give youth a chance" really was implemented. I think that the feelings of disgruntledness come from watching the same old, same old, losing (whimperingly) yet nothing changing.

I wouldn't mind finishing 17th this season... IF Moyes experimented with new systems and more importantly gave the young ones a full season of first team action and aiming for top 10 again next season. But as it is, Felli will go, the youth won't have been given a fair run (so Barkley going) and we know nothing more than the 4-5-1 or the renegade 4-4-1-1 formations and finish 11th.

Where does that leave us?

Oh, see how easy it's done...... Maybe best stick to not writing after all....... hum.

i think i love you evertonised, i agree 100% with you, bloody negativity doom tards.
Not even 10 games in yet, easy ride over xmas - champs league easy

We are foreign owned. Last time I checked BCR Sports were registered in the British Virgin Islands.

You're right though, things are sound as they are. 15th is exactly where we need to be and Kenwright's the man to keep us there.

Wins against Fulham and Chelsea and we'll all be talking positively about our chances in the league and a possible trip to Wembley. Football fans are like that, and no, I don't think it's that bad. We're investing in the future here. We may have two of the best english talents under 18 years of age at the club in Green and Barkley for all we know. We have a relatively talented bunch and can really make a fight of it as per.

Not for me mate, I dont sense that now. In the past, yes. There's been a sense that although we've had a setback we are going somewhere overall. There's a sea change taken place. Something major will have to happen before Evertonians talk positively about the club again. A win against Fulham wont have anyone doing cartwheels talking about blue skies ahead.

You make good points.

And who knows what would have happened in the derby if Suarez hadn't conned the ref into sending Rodwell off.

But the negativity on this and other EFC boards stems from the negative line ups on the pitch.

This is really dragging Evertonians down right now.

Especially as it is hard to see us getting much from the next three games, at Fulham where we normally stuggle, at home to United and away to the high flying Barcodes.

I fear things are about to get a lot lot lot lot worse.
