Ralphie Boy

Player Valuation: £8m
Years of club management ineptitude may result if we don't qualify for champions league football:

No David Moyes, is that such a bad things as:

Fellini leaves potentially for 30 mill towards new players.

Baines wants champions league football, gone for 20 mill.

New tv money tops up transfer pot.

Bed in some youth, poor season but nucleus of new team.

But lose money as not all season ticket holders will renew (me being one who is already considering retiring to the armchair).

Thoughts?

Well somethings have got to give. We are an aged team now with Howard, Neville, Distin, Jags (almost), Osman, Hibbert, Peinaar (almost) but I don't think Moyes trusts youth anymore. All the above mentioned are Notorious for losing possession with sloppy passing yet if a youngster loses possession it means he isn't quite ready yet and benched for a long time.

You forgot to mention the ground.

We are watching our great club turn into Sheffield Wednesday before our eyes.

Clap.. Clap.. Clap.

No but i mean, would the club get funding for a new stadium from somewhere ? Some kind of emergency fund from the council ?

The club couldn't survive otherwise.
Remember the ' failed its safety certificate ' quote.. Does anyone know if there was even the slightest bit of truth in that ?

It is a worrying situation. The future or rather lack of it.

I do feel that losing David Moyes would be a very bad thing for our club personally. The entire football setup is his doing, and if he went i'm sure he would take his trusted lieutenants with him and that would leave us totally exposed.

From what I read it seems that Felli will only go for £25million at best.

If moyes did go I can't see any reason why Baines wouldn't go if the price is right although again like Felli, i don't see £20m.

We would receive extra tv money although considering our current financial predicament of losses, interest charges higer wage bill this will only cover the day to day.

Plus in terms of bedding in the youth, we don't have that much youth, plus you need time and a balanced squad to bed in youth, and thats not something we would have.

Our priority has to be a new stadium in my opinion.

Great thread by the way.

You have a plan don't you?
