Oh no buddy I am now in a terrible cheese and pickle yum yum another round please Mr Simon
cheese and the pickle is my favorite buddy yum yum if only some1 on everton#1 website and fine art institution can make me some butties right now.

Always said to my missus, we need a feckin caretaker feckin jobs we doo_O.can I be a torylol

If gardener includes lawn service that’s the easy pick. Cutting my own grass every couple weeks in the boiling hot summer, and trying to deal with all the vines and brush and bad drainage does my head in.

Same here. I work full time, I don't want to spend my weekends cleaning. My cleaner does a far better job than I would.
Pretty hard to overlook the typical gender roles on some of the tasks if a dual earning household decides not to hire outside help

Hello buddies

A question for you all. When is it socially acceptable (as in not becoming a Tory) to employ certain household services at least once every three months that perhaps, at a push, you could do yourself without a qualification? So not ultra-skilled labour like an electrician, builder, plumber etc.

Would welcome your thoughts this lovely summer day
Good question.
Just as you should not 'keep a dog and bark yourself'...see Moshiri & Brands

It is perfectly permissible to employ somebody to do a job that you, for whatever reason, couldn't do properly...sometimes Shouldn't do at all.

Take the Salmon Butty.
If you had to go out and buy ALL the ingredients, then take them home, spend time making it, then clean up
Then get to eat it
Or
Pay somebody a nominal $s fee .
By all mean if you want something to do, aka, a hobby / time-passer do it yourself.
But sometimes you just want a decent Salmon Butty.
And the butty Maker has a job and he can pay somebody to do something for him etc.
That's the theory anyway.

And it isnt really Tory if you add in - From each according to his ability, to each according to his need

It’s a good thing the bomb shelter doesn’t have a garden or oven and all food snacks are bulk orders, eaten in the wrappers before chucking said wrappers in the furnace.

Streamlines the workload no end.

Very true. I also reconcile it with my Socialist principles as redistribution of wealth. It is the best £22 a week I spend!
