Is George Best the most overrated player ever ?

The most over-rated player, or one of them at least, has to be Roberto Carlos. A few spectacular free kicks does not make a player.

What about the fact he was lightning quick, could tackle and was generally awesome, on top of the goals?!

I saw him for Fernerbache vs Arsenal (random I know) and he was still class at the age of 86.

He was no better than Leighton Baines, who whilst we all love him to bits, no one is suggesting he's one of the best left backs of all time as they do with Roberto Carlos.

I would say Ashley Cole was a better left back than Roberto Carlos, and he wasn't all that either.
