Is Benteke gettable?

Player Valuation: £40m
Villa paid £7m for him at the start of the season. Would they let him go if they could double their money on him? £14m for a 22 year old Belgian international with a scoring rate of better than 1 in 2 for the last couple of seasons would still be good value. And at 6 ft 3 we wouldn't have to rely on Fellaini so much for an aerial threat.

Spurs might fancy him but they've been chasing Damiao for a long time and Adebayor has form for refusing to budge. Arsenal might be interested too although Wenger could prefer to stick with Giroud. If he is available he could form a bruising partnership with Anichebe. And it would be great to see Benteke playing alongside Fellaini and Mirallas.

As long as none of the big-spenders enter the running I think we could just as feasibly sign him as Negredo.

can't see it happening really. He must've gone up by a few million tonight too...depends on the length of his contract too

no chance

If Villa go down he'll go for not a penny over ten million.

That said, Jelavic also looked amazing in his first season in the Prem...

Nope - and it'd be a bit of a risk getting a striker who has had a boss season.

Look at our own striker who was boss last season. And very much isn't now.
