Is Benitez a good manager or not?

"...an excellent record at Anfield, especially considering he had to work within the financial restritions placed upon him"

The man's a cretin.

He's a good tactical manager but he relies on having a whopping amount of money thrown at him to cover up his transfer market mistakes.

He's a living, breathing reason for having a Director of Football at the club.

The devotion the Kopites have towards him is hysterical, given that he took a side Houllier built, won a few things with it and then set about systematically destroying it with stupid transfers left, right and centre.

Won La Liga twice and the Uefa cup, Also reached the CL final getting beat on pens

At the RS won the CL and F.A cup, Finshed 2nd in the league and got to another CL final

Nar hes crap

Good manager with wedge.

Bang average with nowt.

Poor man manager, as seen by failure to get anything close to acceptable performances from Chelsea's world class array of talent.

Spawniest Champions League win in the history of the competition in '05.

Would have him here, just for 6 months and purely to annoy the fun.

That was Cuper. But I agree in general. Winning two leagues with valencia is a big achievment.

He did very well to get that extremely average Liverpool side to win the Champions Leauge, then get them back to the final again.

He's poor in the transfer window in large, although Alonso was an excellent signing of his.
