He says posting on a football forum.

Seriously though I can relate, I wish it wasn't so painfully predictable and so down to money. Or more importantly, I wish we had more money so that we didn't have to moan about those that do have it.

Yes, I am totally sick of football as he says while playing football manager, watching AC vs Barca & listening to the Barrow game.

maybe it's because of the wigan result, or that our form hasn't been great in general, but I can't remember another time in my 34 years when I was just sick of football. Fighting for 4th as though it's like winning the title, dealing with players on massive contracts, looking around at teams and not knowing who half their players are....it's just disheartening. Right now I am not bothered about the City game. I expect a reaction, I also expect us to get beat.

SIGH

I hear that.

Particularly the bit about not knowing the players of other teams.

Someone said that Wigan were playing a weakened team on Saturday and when I looked at it it occurred to me that I wouldn't know a weakened Wigan team from a full strength one.

One point you missed was the rumours of players coming to EFC for millions of quid and we have never heard of them.

This Leroy Fer, over whom wthere was such controversy, for instance.

I had never heard of him.

If you'd asked yesterday I'd have said yes.
If you'd asked this mornign I'd have said meh.
But now I'm beginning to think about the Citeh game and am almost looking forward to it.

Humans ... we forget pain quickly and anticipate pleasure early, and are then disappointed.

Off-topic like. There are some boss ads on this site. Clicking on them is therapeutic.

Football from the early 90s onwards (including the re-invention of the domestic and European Cups) is a shadow of it's former self and I despise the greedy, money mad game it has become. However, I still prefer it to any other sport!

I usually blank footy out for a week when we lose anyway but since Saturday, its odd, i feel numb.

kinda agree with mawders been going reg h/a for 35yrs maybe more miserable now but just not enjoyable anymore when i miss aways dont give a toss apart from2hrs between 3and 5 .

Get where the OP is coming from:

I hate the fact that money makes clubs fashionable and talked of as if they have been successful since the dawn of time.

I hate the fact that you can't tackle anymore (I regularly watch my vhs copy of 95 final and cry for the real game) and worse than this is the commentators who say 'there was contact' at the mearest brush of sock on sock as if this means rolling around in agony is therefore acceptable.

I hate that we (and many others) cannot win the league ever again.

But, I'll be there as ever on Saturday with completely unexplainable belief that we will win........

I am dissillusioned to say the least. At the Reading game I didn't have that same excitement I always get when we score especially when I'm there. It was strange. Then the Wigan game happened and I just got pissed off with it. The attitude from some of the players was a disgrace and I just thought to myself that these tossers arnt going to ruin my weekend again. Its probably why I haven't been on here as much either, amongst other things.

I'm sure it will come back but right now I cba.

Still coming up for the city game on saturday though. **** off Everton.

I watch many games and many leagues and never get board, love the tactics and abilities and in particular those special moments you get now and again.

Everton games are more of an emotional roller coaster and I feel love, hate, great joy and despair. When I feel completely numb and stop watching or caring that is the time I have lost my love and I need to let her go. The poor girl has made some mistakes and has listened to some bad people but I forgive her, it's not her fault.

I'm disappointed in her but love her completely.

(Definitely keeping these words for my next fight with my bird)
