Just seen it on the official site that Alan Irvine has left for Preston on a 3 1/2 year contract. I for one wish him nothing but the best. Thanks Alan.

Well I hope we can get someone in of the same calibre. Don't underestimate his part in Moyes's success. He has done so much for this club, and his coaching ability is undeniable.

I think this is a major loss.

Agreed. Good for Irvine but not so great for us.

I'll be curious to see who Moyes brings in or promotes from within.

Must be a little gutting for him. The new training ground is just in, the team is in europe and all their hard work is begining to show on the field

Good luck to Alan, I really hope he does well.

Im sure Moyes will find a suitable replacement, the promotion of Colin Harvey to first team coach in the early 80s was a major catalyst in our success.

I hope he goes for someone young and hungry for it.

im really sad to see alan irvine leave.

hes a great man and a great assistant manager.
i just hope the club get someone in who is just as good .

good luck to mr irvine and im thankfull for all the great work he has done.

ps ... do you think he will be back to poach any of our fringe players ?

Hello everybody, new to the site, post on another Everton forum, fancied a change.

Surely it wont be Sammy Lee  Good coach, but a die hard scrotum.
