I agree that there were a small number of England - mainly younger, and complete tits who are more mouth than trouser, if you get my drift - looking to act up.

But, we definitely spotted a small number of locals - by all accounts Shamrock Rovers boys - who were mooching about Temple on both nights. They clocked my mate and I outside that Temple Bar place, and we decided to clock them back and see what they were up to. They were definitely spotters, but were amateur enough to proceed to get onto their mobile phones with the hand covering the, phone (thereby being utterly blatant, almost comical).

We laughed them off and headed away on both occasions, as we can't be bothered with that malarkey at our ripe old age. We heard that some English (Forest fans, apparently) had a bit of a go at them later on Monday night and had a bit of a scuffle. Perhaps it was the same mouthpieces your Garda mate was mentioning?

Either way, I couldn't give two hoots. I just wanted to point out that there was a minority on both sides who were up to no good - or at least playing up to that notion.

The vast, vast majority were fine on both sides. I still thought the weekend was boring, though! The match was easilY the worst I've endured.
