Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland have formally declared an interest hosting Euro 2020.

The countries have told Uefa that they would be interested in bidding to host the European Championships on a three-way basis.

So far, Turkey are the only other nation to inform Uefa that they want to host the tournament.

Now BBC Scotland understands that Uefa has received a written expression of interest from the Celtic countries.

i seen that you need

2 x 50,0000 seater capacity,
3 x 40,0000 seater capacity and
4 x 30,0000 seater capacity and between all 3 they do, mainly scotland obviously.

Would be pretty good, it'll be the first time the tournament is expanded to 24 teams, hence the requirement for more 40,000+ stadia than are needed now.

There's not been any concrete bids yet so I'll wait and see what happens tonight.

I hope they get it

Right on our door step and the Irsh/Scottish sure no how to throw a party

It would be great distance wise, but inevitably one of the worst tournaments ever held.

Well yeah but that's because of the stupid decision to bump it up to 24 teams meaning that the qualifiers will be devoid of all tension and the group stages will become processions for anyone half deceny.

Obviously having Wales and Scotland qualify as hosts will only make that problem worse.

Some big capacity stadiums there.

Croke Park 82,000
Millenium 74,000
Murrayfield 67,000
Celtic Park 61,000
Aviva Stadium 52,000
Hampden Park 52,000
Ibrox 51,000

Economic stimulus too. Poland and Ukraine have got a big boost out of buidling new grounds and the infrastructure that goes with it. Obvioulsy the stadiums are in place here, but you'd imagine improved transport links would be a job creator.
