Thinking of purchasing an iPad mini. Would those who have one recommend it as a good purchase? Undecided as to whether to go for 16 or 32GB version, probably non 3G.

Always go for the 32 mate. 16 is too small with the amount of HD content available these days

If you're going for the Mini then buy last years model. The only real difference between that and the new one is that the new one has the TouchID fingerprint sensor built into the home button. Never worth the extra money.

I have the Mini with Retina (last years model). It is the perfect tablet. Just the right size, awesome screen, well made and looks good.

IMO, by far a superior purchase over the full sized iPad.

I'd have it over all the Android ones too(although i'd be interested in seeing how Android 5 does on tabs....)!!

True. I got a 16gig iPad mini form Amazon a few months ago because it was only £180 but it's almost "full" now and I don't even have any films or music on it.

You've got to remember that all Apple products take a portion of the said available HDD space and store it secretly for any Apple updates they have in line for you.

My 8gb iPhone 4 became so useless when I upgraded it to the latest iOS, made me delete everything just to install it then the phone was barely able to run it smoothly anyway. (yeah i know the 4 is old haha) Basically means an 8gb thing is a 6gb thing and so on..
