It doesn't bother me that much, honestly, I just don't like to be portrayed as a feckless father.Because most of the men who do complain about it are misogynistic losers
There are plenty of online communities raging against how Feminists run the world and men are oppressed, maybe u should join em if it bothers u so much?
edit: i didnt mean that to sound too narky like, but seriously, u just need to check out some of the people that rly do care about this type of stuff to see how warped their world view is. For the most part, they dont care about it, they just hate women.
Adverts are generally a bit stupid really. Everyone has a right to be annoyed by them. Don't think it's reflective of anything more than trying to appeal to certain demographics. The RT you mentioned in particular. There's a lot more stay at home Mums than Dad's (who'd be about watching TV in the monring). And the Dad's are considerably less likely to want to watch a parenting channel. It doesn't bother me that much, honestly, I just don't like to be portrayed as a feckless father.

try telling that to anybody that has got divorced with young kids, give you a clue how even it is, if your a father of under nines, you will not get your kids unless the mother is a danger to them even if its her behavior that led to the split, you house will go with them, even if you have paid every penny for it and everything in it, despite every body even the schools saying they would be better of with you, you will not win, your crime having a dick instead of a fanny.Nah, as everyone knows, men cannot be victims of sexism. It only works one way.
Much like a white man can only be a victim of 'inverse racism', not racism.
No, I'm saying most of the people who devote a lot of time complaining about it on the internet, areYou're literally saying that if you're a man and you want to complain about discrimination against you, then you are a misogynist.
Oh, sorry, no. You're saying that this applies to most men, just to cover your back.

No, not position of the month chaps, sorry.
I'm talking about adverts, particularly baby adverts, that talk about 'what's best for baby is best for mum' (incidentally, I cannot abide the use of the term 'baby' in this context, makes me cringe). The blatant insinuation that Dad is not really a proper parent, and in most of the these adverts, is portrays as some bumbling chump who doesn't know the difference between a nappy and a potato.
This whinge was prompted by an RT I saw this morning from some online parenting channel which proclaimed 'Calling all Mums! Have your say on the latest parenting issues'.
Chap I know, his wife died leaving him to raise two daughters aged 4, and 6 months old. Sure he loves how he's portrays in the adverts.
