Wow, great repsonse. Thanks, Toffees. And loving (most of) the spider jokes, even if I'm seeing some duplication across other teams' forums I've posted on.

@StuBarlow - the site demonstrably doesn't have adverts on it. You probably looked in the source code, where you found some abandoned Adsense code. That's for another day. I may put ads on it just to cover my hosting costs but this is far from a business. I won't be retiring any time soon.

To the poster who mentioned fear of Spiders, ha - that's a good point. I did think of that, though only once I was well into the site's development, bought the domain etc. It's Spider in the sense that it goes out and crawls the web for relevant news. Perhaps I could set up a mirror of the site, but with a different domain/logo. Football Otter, perhaps? Animal suggestions?

Well, I've got a cartoon spider in a football shirt - and they haven't. Seriously, I thought it could be done better, and that's my aim eventually. NN don't (?) do videos, podcasts and tweets like I do, so there's a key difference right there. And they don't tweet all their stories; I've heard from a lot of people that they like to follow my content via Twitter rather than on the site, so that's hopefully another plus.

That Spider site (despite being extremely crudely put together) has adsense in place so is earning money from visits.

Are well all allowed to now post our own sites in here??

Why have an independent unit, it will be at personal cost to you, rent a section from our gaffer and work from this site............just a thought like and you will get such a huge audience for your news.
