Where about are you from?: I'm from the States. Multiple states, so it really doesn't matter. Currently located in the benighted Midwest from which I'm hoping to escape soon. (Maybe even escape from the States, too)
How did you find these forums?: Er... I think I clicked 'subscribe' on Facebook a long time back. The previews are pretty boss.
How did you become an Evertonian?: Buddy of mine in college introduced me to the EPL. He'd lived in Germany in high school and we had both played football in high school. He was a longtime Manchester United fan, but that seemed too easy. I liked Everton's history and the grumpy way the team took no [Poor language removed] but routinely shot themselves in the foot. (This was about 04-05) The final revelation that it was the right club for me came this winter when I was driving a bunch of schoolkids from Philadelphia to New York during a tremendous snow storm. Dropped them off at the hotel, parked, and ran through the knee-high snow to the backside lobby entrance, which was locked. The first person I'd ever seen in the States wearing an Everton jersey opened the door, and I asked him his thoughts on the West Brom game. He was a genuine Merseysider. (Where I live, you do see jerseys every now and then, but they're all Madrid, Barca, Munich, Arsenal, United, Rs, Chelsea or other similar posers) First person I ever see in a Toffee jersey lets me in from freezing my balls off.
Your all-time favourite Everton player?: Dixie Dean. A bit of a gimme, I know.
Your current favourite player?: Coleman. He's been absolutely boss this season. Should this question actually be 'favorite current player'? Because that'd be Baines.
Pineapple on Pizza, Is it socially acceptable? What are your views?: Only on Hawaiian pizza (ham and pineapple, red or bbq sauce). And then only if the mother-in-law is visiting.
