The Australian Govt. is attempting to put through legislation to force ISPs to block sites that are on a "secret black list". The "reason" being to protect kiddies from sites that the government deem unacceptable for their viewing. It has good premise but a "secret black list" is not on, total restriction on freedom of speech.

Hung parliament just wants to stop people learning about Queenie and the continued cricket failures. No big loss, 'Fosters' website is still doing a 'red hot crack'.
 

Our governments have been slowly taking away our freedoms for quite a few years now, this would be the icing on the cake. This filter is such a disastrous idea technically and socially, that I've come to the conclusion that there is some other party (probably big media and of course the christian lobby) pushing its implementation. It is just such an abhorrent idea, which ever way you look at it.
