Would explain GOT a bit if this place was truly 60% lefty

Nah, lefties will be all over it...huzzah! Something I can relate to - and pile in.
Righties on principle, will skate past anything to do with lefthandedness, but enough have looked to skew the voting patterns.

Explain GOT? - the inmates go through life pulling doors marks Push and can't resist touching the big button marked Do Not Touch, they can go in a revolving door behind you and come out infront of you.

I'm ambidextrous, so does that count?

I am to a degree.
Dad taught me all sport righty. Follows that I am crap at sports that involve handedness.

I write & play guitar with my left.. and then pretty much everything else (throwing, drumming etc.) with my right lol I only consider 'ambidextrous' a level where you can comfortably write with either hand though, which I can't do.

I'm genuinely both-footed though when I play footy. I'm equally as comfortable on my left as I am on my right.. though a degree of that probably came from a lot of coaching in my younger days.

It makes me laugh and annoys me at the same time to see (mainly - no offense meant, but not exclusively) Americans sat at a table, left arm firmly stuck to their side, like it was tied there or...heaven forbid...like they have Parkinson's or something. Chasing their dinner round the plate with just a fork...in the wrong hand too ffs.

I can write legibly with my right, but it's a slower process

I'm a rightie but when I were nipper dad made me learn to kick a ball with left foot figuring I'd always get a game. He was correct and now I'm better with the left than the right.
It's a funny old world.
