Anybody used these, have any experience of them? My son wants to learn to drive ASAP,so is looking at doing it this way are they reliable or worth it over regular lessons

I did a residential intensive course in the early 80s. I passed the test on the Friday afternoon having failed it twice doing weekly lessons and some practice with relatives. I only did it that way because my employer was putting the pressure on for me to get a licence.

Sorry for the vague answer but it just depends what type of person you are and how you learn I think. I found it really useful because I find it easier to cram and I can take on board new information quickly but - as the name suggests I suppose - it can be quite intense and if you're the type of person who learns through repetition it won't work at all.

I went to a racing school 20+ years ago but that was here in the US and the school's namesake passed in 2021, so I'm not sure if they're still in operation. I do suggest signing him up to one but I don't know who to suggest over there.

6 months to get a driving test wait - so get a good recommendation of a driving instructor & they will tell you when you're ready for the test - & It's who you get on the day if you pass or fail .... have a two-hour lesson before your test in the area etc .. Plus you have the computer theory test first - & my kids told me that's quite hard .....
