I believe compared to the 70's integrity in football has slowly deteriorated. Footballers seem to cheat at the drop of a hat these days, always trying to get their fellow pros in trouble. Managers are always moaning seeing a reality of the game to which I was not seeing. Referees don't explain themselves for some of the most outlandish decisions you could ever believe, leaving themselves wide open to their 'honesty'. The fans having a go at opposing teams/players I understand to a degree but having a go at your own - don't understand that. Have I remembered the 70's with nostalgia and missed all this type of stuff going on back then?

Tell us something we don't know.

Well, there was less cheating but referees never explained their decisions and fans used to get on their own players back even more probably.

sadly, money talks in football today so every little advantage a team can gain is encouraged, be that going down in the box at the slightest strong breeze or feigning injury so as to get your opponent into trouble,, it's all bollox , half of these players now wouldnt have survived the seventies and eighties when football used to be a contact sport.
