Hello Humans

Which Tory sports do you pretend to like and suddenly become an expert in for varying periods of time when one of their finals/tournaments appears on TV?

All of those sports are tediously dull, other than cricket. And then only test match cricket interests me.

My imagination, or should we have had a few tests by now?
Yes we should. Back in the day I'd have been locked into five days of watching tests by now and hearing Richie Benaud going "got 'um" as another England batsman trudges away to the pavilion leaving a wicket like broken matchwood behind him.

Now they're in their pyjamas hitting cow shots to all parts as spectators hold up squares of card with 4 or 6 on them. And the commentators are various ex-England captains who were better at playing than talking.

Old Chinese proverb: Nothing if beauty lasts.

I find myself almost chanting it these days.

Quite happy to chat utter bollocks about cricket when it's on and/or topical.

You're the go to guy then

Why is it always Oxford and Cambridge in the final?

..they get a bye and the final is always on the Thames. All the other universities fail to get through the qualifying because it's held in the middle of the North Sea. You don't have to be an expert to know that.
