I'm not very good at these things but recently decided to post on Instagram, mainly because it seems less mind numblingly brain-destroying than Facebook and I could just post photos without saying anything.
While at first having my photos liked by strange people around the world seemed flattering, I'm starting to suspect that many of the likes, follows and comments that I am getting are from bots.
Certain generic comments crop up again and again like "pretty awesome" as well as some that don't seem to fit the photo like "that's the cutest thing I've seen today" on a photo that was anything but cute.
Anyone know anything about this sort of stuff?
I think I'd rather stick with the half a dozen genuine followers I have and find a way to get rid of all the robots and businesses who have probably paid to try and get follows.
