Somewhat inspired by Moneyball, I got to wondering whether a team consisting of only bottom half players could conceivably win the league. Now I know that in the real world it simply won't happen, after all who would go out to buy purely lower half teams and nobody from abroad etc, but I find the possibility intriguing. Use your imagination, it might be fun. Do you think you could build a title challenging/champions league team out of the teams which have finished bottom half this season? (I'm not entertaining the idea that we'll come 11th). Jarg line ups thoroughly encouraged.

I reckon this 23 man squad would come top 4;

GK - Pantilimon, Schmeichel, Krul

DEF - Trippier, Janmaat, W. Reid, Huth, Vlaar, Robertson, Pocognoli

MID - Bolasie, Puncheon, Diame, Noble, Delph, A. Johnson, Fer, Snodgrass, Zaha

STR - Berahino, Benteke, Austin, Ings

Very few jump out as being desirable players, but then teams of unfashionable players in every sport have triumphed at one point or another. What do you reckon? What would your squad be?

Pantilimon
Janmaat Vlaar Reid Van Aanholt
Fer Delph Cleverley
Bolasie Benteke CHOICE

Can't pick between Zaha and an out of position Berahino.

Either way, comfortable top half, around Southampton to Swansea level I believe.

Young too, except Vlaar.
