Insomnia

I’m a sufferer ... though suffering isn’t really what I do ... I read and listen to audio books but sometimes it might get nice to just drift off
Any suggestions... other than watch porn !!!

I’ve suffered from it for years mate, but the problem I have is waking up all the time and getting back to sleep.

These are the things that help me :

Sleep mask - tricks the brain into thinking it’s nighttime.

Sleep proof your room - blackout blinds etc, stop the light coming in.

Turn all electrical items off - they reckon the electrical signals from them stimulate the brain.

No caffeine or alcohol after 6pm ( not always possible I know )

Those cherry capsules that @chicoazul mentioned are worth a go. I use Serotonin tablets too, but they give you wild dreams, so I only use them when I’m shattered.

+1 for reading. I used to always struggle to sleep, especially in my old job which wasn't as chill as my current one, but now I read for 15/20 mins in bed each night and then I normally fall asleep ok. Try and 'de-stress' before bed if you can, thinking about work/other issues always (still does sometimes) keep my mind racing at night. And make sure you're actually tired... do some exercise (both physical and mental) to run your batteries down so your body and mind want to go to sleep.
