Inner Monologue

I found this surprising the other day.

I'm the other way around, I think things but never say them to myself. Can't imagine how strange it would be to hear yourself say every thought

Up until yesterday I just presumed everyone had a voice in their heads and when reading or thinking they would be talking to themselves in their mind. Turns out I was completely wrong.

Anyone on here not have an inner monologue? Fascinating stuff.

I'm autistic so the paragraph about that was interesting but I can't really relate to it at all. For me, every thought is bounced around like a board meeting between me, myself and I, in very verbal English.
I think that may be why I always struggled whenever I tried to learn other languages -- because I never learned the language, I always tried to learn the translation to English and vice-versa. Might even apply to programming languages, too.
