Btw reason for inflatable is I have no storage for a proper kayak & cba with a roof rack.
Drifters? now there's a name for a band @larrygobfiendNever tried one but to me (I've used Canadian canoes and kayaks) reaching over the inflatable sides with paddles looks as though it would be awkward, with leverage working against you.
I see plenty of people drift past me in them looking very relaxed though.
@BigBlueNose Has got an inflatable you can use inbetween her giving him the full girlfriend experience.
Are you single?? No hang about, divorced??

You seem very bitter!
Have one.
Works totally fine, honestly. Surprisingly sturdy; I've had to scrape it along rocks in very shallow sections of rivers before with no damage. Inflating it is a breeze with a footpump.
I'm not an avid kayaker though, and lack of storage on the boat is an actual problem compared to a hard-sided kayak - at least for overnight or longer trips. Taking a backpack + cooler + necessary water for the day is *tight*. It is pretty wonderful that I can just shove it in a closet once it's dried out though.
I think they're fantastic for purely recreational kayaking on less than dangerous waters - I've only taken it along a small section of the Cape Fear river in NC and a few lakes out in the San Juan Islands in Washington state, so I can't speak to how it would handle actual rapids.
I have a Sea Eagle 330, for reference.
