You think Anichebe is better than Doyle, that Kitson is inferior to Phil Neville?

I'd like great players too, unfortunately we have owners who can't buy them.

At RB, yes. :P

Strength in depth is waht we need though. Some handy players at Reading well worth a look at (y)

"...not sure if their wages could be met". :o

Their wages would be unbelievably high. No chance. I'm surprised these exotic names keep popping up.

Look to relegated clubs. The lads at Reading - Kitson, Doyle, Harper, Shorey...they're our targets. I'd take Kelly out of Birmingham too.

Good shout. Like this guy as an alternative/competition for Baines

I said equivalent players, as in players of the same position. Doyle or Kitson would be third or fourth choice for us and offer little improvement. Simply increasing the number of players in the squad without increasing the ability on the pitch is a little futile.

I understand that a lot of people are concerned with squad depth. I don't think an ideal solution is simply to bring in average squad reinforcements. It won't see us improve and will likely see us left behind next season. Signing a good player also increases depth. There's nothing at the moment to suggest we'll have to be pillaging relegated clubs for affordable players.

I hope you're right and we are buying in Harrods. I can't see it, personally. For me, Doyle is far superior to Anichebe and Kitson is a quality player with a work ethic Moyes looks for. Two genuine contenders for each position is what we have to build for this summer...which means no cry babies who wont sit on the bench to get their game....and Steve Coppell has disciplined his players to behave themselves in that respect.

and theres me thinking ginger ballacks sidwell was a greedy barstud, seems i was wrong he's just disciplined.

Doyle is certainly not "far superior" to Anichebe, and Kitson is not a "quality" player. If anything, McFadden was better than both of these and he still couldnt cut it here.

This has got to be one of the worst seasons for buying from the relegated clubs.

Kitson or Doyle would be an improvement on Victor. I like Vic but he doesn't look to be adding anything to his game.

You're not wrong there.
