I have to laugh at that as I had an ex that got hounded by some hired hands from the Home Depot parking lot not 5 minutes after getting in the car. She didn't leave my side for the rest of the day. Mexican dudes are terrible for that, they have no issue whatsoever with cat calling and staring women down. I thought it was funny...probably why she's an ex. Who knows, maybe she's had a few anchor babies with Juan now.

I have an ex who's white but can speak Spanish. Of course all of the Hispanic lads think she can't, this being 'Murrika and all.

Kind of amusing the things she'd translate for me said by those around us. A lot if it relating to her, naturally. Some of it flattering, some of it downright disgusting.

More than you would think. City of Milwaukee is around 17% Hispanic. Most cities in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois have significant Hispanic populations, most of them being from Southern Mexico.

Less than you would think. Due to the distances traveled (Southern Mexico to Northern United States), it's harder to get here illegally/undocumented/whatever you'd prefer to call it. It's much more of an issue in places such as Texas and California than it is up here.

Texas's labor force is somewhere around 9-10% illegal immigrants. Wisconsin's is 1-2%.
