The English language has been, and always shall be continually evolving. However, social media has been a catalyst for this transformation: slang, abbreviations etc.

In a world where time is precious; where communication is instant yet impersonal; laziness (text speak) has became the accepted means for a newer generation. I wouldn't be overly concerned about 'Northerns' writing 'weird sentences', when many of our youth cannot construct a simple sentence.

Iz jus eazy init lad... *shakes old head*

Only have one peeve, people saying of instead of have.

'Of' instead of 'On' or 'at.'

Of an evening = shabs. On an Evening.

Of a weekend = shabs. At the weekend.

'Are' instead of 'Our' is absolute desecration, and the often typed 'abar' instead of 'about' is total utter pish, the worst thing is that some aren't even doing it to save a character on twitter they think that's what it is.

The way that next Saturday doesn't actually refer to the next Saturday to arrive but the one after that, cos obviously the next Saturday to take place is THIS Saturday.
I don't know what drives me to distraction the most with 'her' the language from an alternate universe that she speaks or the utter cack-handidness with which she does things, living with a lefty is very taxing as it is, but when you have to decipher the code in which she speaks as well.
