In Memory - Minutes Applause or a Minutes Silence

Applause for me. No problem with people mourning his loss and paying respect though. Half because of the odd idiot who ruins it, half because I'd personally rather celebrate someone's life even if it had a tragic end.

Also I feel people may disagree so I separated this part, but just in the context of a football game loud applause is more appropriate...although 40,000 people absolutely silent is more bold than applause, arguably.

It was great- really was. They felt thats what they wanted to do and it wasnt disrespectful, it wasnt unecessary- it was spot on. Moved me a hell of a lot, add to that Shay Given showing his emotion for his friend, it was a real moment.

Yeah was quite emotional to see Shay Given like that. Great that he went on and played the game and kept a clean sheet too. A man named Carlos could take a leaf out of his book.

For me it has to be silence,i dont like this clapping lark if any little scote wont be quiet do what we did in the old days slap the buggers

Like Danny said earlier, should be silence, this is a trajedy. Clapping should be recognising a full career, not one taken too soon, the world is poorer without him, I just wish he could have seen that :(
