The western world may be turning back the clocks on social progression somewhat, but at least today this is something to be proud about. I just hope whatever the consequences of Brexit/ Trump/ the rise of the right in Europe, that we can retain the civil rights and liberties that have been fought for over the past 50 years or more. Not a fan of the conservatives, but at least despite the amount I disagree with them on, civil rights at least have still been progressing since 2010.

Fortunate enough to not have grown up in an age where some other LGBT posters on here did, and indeed some of my older friends in 'real' life. Their struggles were painful, all to be afforded privacy in being able to love who they like. The fact this has taken 50 years to come by is incredible. Live and let live- if other's aren't harming you or others, then leave them be. Turning back the clock on issues like gay rights in the US/ Russia etc, and abortion? Sniff it.
