... if someone had told you 12 months ago that we would be on 31 points after 29 games, battling relegation and out of all competitions, a year from now. Its sickening.

This time last year we were going to Newcastle and giving them a hiding, talking about Barkleys goal. The thumping we gave Arsenal at Goodison was around the corner and we were posting in a thread about how many points we would need for the CL qualification.

With the players we have got in our squad and after having a taste of what we can do with these players (last season), this for me is the worst season i've ever had to go through. That includes the great escape and the Smith years. I've been through some bad times as an Evertonian but for me i can't remember it being this bad.

Yes it's been far worse than this.

That doesn't mean we should be happy about all this though.

This time a year ago people were laughing at the fact that some people wanted Vitor Pereira instead of Martinez when we knew nothing about him, all we knew was that he looked fit in a suit.

Now a year later I actually want Peireira, even though I still know nothing about him other than the fact he looks fit in a suit.

When you add in the quality of player we have in this squad, the individual players and the tease of how we know we can play with these very same players... i think its got to be the worst that i can remember. I've never felt so low.

I'm looking at this QPR game now and just thinking to myself ' just don't lose '. I would gladly take a point at QPR now if offered. That is how bad its got for me Groucho

At least the saving thing tonight was that Kiev are actually a very good side with terribly racist fans.

I am going to get some perspective here.

Regarding tonight, Ross slots instead of hitting the post in the first half and we aren't even having this conversation tonight. It's all fine lines sometimes.

The rest of the season though, it's not a blip, it's an appalling run and loss of form with a very talented squad.

We are either just forever unlucky or bad decisions are being made.

Even though we are possibly generally an unlucky club, common sense says it's down to more than that.
